Immortal’s “Pure Holocaust” is the second full-length album for the Black Metal band from Os, Hordaland, Norway. It was released on a vinyl record in 1993. In total, “Pure Holocaust” has been released officially on vinyl, in twenty two versions to date.

“Pure Holocaust” is the relentless, cold and pure Norwegian black metal album that simplifies all the elements of the genre adding the holocaust-sound courtesy of Demonaz’ guitars. Pure Holocaust is a genre defining, and an essential black metal album. It might not carry the historical weight of some other releases or others’ innovation but has its character.
It is a highly competent and enjoyable album that seems to have a significant influence amongst countless black metal acts. Those of you who haven’t listen to this album yet, it’s time to do so.
