Wonderful bubblegum pop! While all of the hits were penned by outside composers, the songs written by the band members are also marvelous. Pop Goes the Weasel is a rewrite of the nursery rhyme and good fun. Keep Your Thoughts on the Bright Side is a beautiful daughter of Penny Lane. Magic Windmill, written by band founder Frank Jeckell, is a lovely aching bit of psychedelia. The Year 2001 is a fun little ditty. Soul Struttin' was co-written by Tony Orlando and is a run-of-the-mill soul number. Simon Says and May I Take a Giant Step are classic bubblegum hits. The rest is also great. Highly recommended! Heavy vinyl!
