Regarded as one of the better prog albums to come out of Switzerland, CIRCUS MOVIN' ON was the band's second album. MOVIN' ON is an acoustic album that sounds like a chance meeting between Van Der Graaf Generator and Yes. There were some electric artifacts used just for effects and emphasis of sound but the music is strongly jazz-oriented, featuring a good singer, Roland Frei, who sings with a well defined and clear voice, and also plays saxophone and acoustic guitar. When an acoustic band intends to be progressive, the rhythm section have to be powerful and talented, which happens in CIRCUS, integrated by bassist Marco Carletti. The rhythm section is completed by the exquisite and subtle drummer/percussionist Fritz Hauser. There is a fourth member: Andreas Grieder, who brings us long and appealing flute solos and also interplays with all other members in some intricate and complex passages.
