Released in 1976 as the first album in a series of three (two of which became Mark Farner solo Lp's) contracted to MCA. It paired the unlikeliest team rock and roll has ever seen, Frank Zappa and GFR. Although the appearance of this odd couple would produce one of the finest recordings in Grand Funk's entire catalog. The songs are very cohesive and fit well together. The sound is not of a band about to break up, but one that has found itself again and is ready to go out and kick ass. This would be Grand Funk's last recording featuring it's dynamic and hard hitting quartet of Mark Farner, Don Brewer, Mel Schacher, and Craig Frost until a brief reunion in the 80's without founding member and bassist, Mel Schacher or keyboardist Craig Frost.
