Keris were the continuation of Ys,showed a turn towards a more electric and modern Prog Folk, which retained the qualities of Ys' tradition, but introduced also the band to a new era, which was characterized by delicate and well-detailed arrangements with more progressive colors and constant use of updated instruments.So, half about of the album is still rooted in a Celtic/Breton-styled Prog Folk with lots of bagpipe sounds, acoustic passages, mellow piano parts and troubadour-like vocals.The rest though is modern electric Folk Rock with refined arrangements and melodic content to the fore, based on light rhythmic tones, smooth keyboard deliveries and strong electric guitar.Hole on cover!
