Obscure band "Mini" from Hungary, most known for them progressive jazz-rock works in them country where they know big success. This LP from the year 1979, offer some MAD jazz funk moment with cosmic overtones. At the head flute player call Torok Adam (please keep this name in your head for his crazy solos part ! ) this four musicians offer us an original & fantastic cosmic funk journey. Focus on afro funk instrumental track call "N°6 rock enbankment" with break drums, funky bass drive, chirurgical flute solo + scatt very close of Herbie Man during his funky area. But the most interesting is the crazy jazz funk call "Asphalt jungle" in down tempo feat hip hop break drums, flutes solos & dope piano fender solos remind "Flying Dutchman" or "CTI" labels think Leon Thomas or Lonnie Winston smith & the cosmic echoes. WARNING, mad afro funk LP from eastern music scene, don't miss it!
