Ex/m- | After the Silence (subtitled A Symphonic Poem) is Pythagoras’s second release. This Dutch group is a duo comprised of Bob de Jong and René de Haan who, between the two, play synthesizers, sequencers, Mellotron, bass pedals, drums, and electric piano. Various guests also contribute flute, guitar, violin, and Novatron (essentially a Mellotron marketed under a different name). After the Silence is electronic/space music with progressive rock influences (think of the spacier sections of Pink Floyd’s music), and comes very highly recommended. Released in the Netherlands (Holland) on the WEA label in 1982
