Martin Pugh and Louis Cennamo disbanded Steamhammer after death of drummer Mick Bradley, they teamed with Keith Relf and Bobby Caldwell for the recording of this absolute winner.Armageddon were brought to A&M records attention by Peter Frampton who was impressed by the band´s music.Armageddon's lone studio album has all the elements of a great hard prog rock album.The sound production is professional,organic and suits the music well and all in all "Armageddon" is a solid guitar driven hard rock album with a lot of positive qualities.The group folded shortly after the album was released,which was followed by Relf's tragic death in 1976 (from electrocuting himself accidentally).One of the best,infernal heavy rock prog albums of all time.
