Solar Plexus were formed in early-70's as Bäska Droppar by ex-Made in Sweden members.The album is a good mix of (semi)intelligent mainstream jazz rock and more challenging, classically structured stuff.Jazz Rock with psychedelic and folky overtones, lots of non-exaggerated jams, ethereal-Lounge breaks with electric piano in evidence and vocals in the native language.It balances between song-oriented music with a typical Scandinavian flavor over Psychedelic Rock textures and loose Jazz Fusion with heavy amounts of organ and endless solos.Side C is vastly different, a 24-min. instrumental suite, as Solar Plexus get the help of the Norrköpings Symphonic Orchestra.Reminds me a bit of Focus jamming and interrupted by long string sections with a Chamber Music feeling. Highly recommended!
