The Misfits – Horror Punk E.P. 1979 ($10,000-$11,000)

The MisfitsHorror Business EP is one of the most expensive and rare vinyl EPs that have ever been released. The highest  price it has ever been sold is 14,300$ in 2008. The record according to the seller’s description contains Glen Danzig’s autograph.

The Misfits were founded back in 1975 in New Jersey and during their run have been one of the most original artists in the Horror Punk sub-genre.

The “Horror Business” EP in black colored vinyl was released in 1979 in 25 copies as a labeled test press and today is coveted. The regular pressing was in yellow color (2000 copies).

The E.P.  includes three of the most famous songs of The Misfits. It’s an eight-minute 3chord rough punk masterpiece with memorable melodies and choruses. The fact that the Horror Business song is the favorite one of a lot of their fans say a lot. The music value of the album in addition to the limited copies available, make it extremely expensive and rare.

It’s not available for sale very often and when you find it you’ll have to spend 10.000-11.000 dollars for it to become yours.
