Mütiilation’s Vampires of Black Imperial Blood is an iconic Black Metal release, an album that significantly influenced the genre’s extreme bands. One of the most collective records of the Black Metal sound.
Mütiilation were founded in 1991 in France, and they were members of the legendary “The Black Legions” (Les Legions Noire). Vampires of Black Imperial Blood was released in 1995. Their third release and the first release (1000 CDs) from the Drakkar Productions Record Company.

The album re-released as a double-LP in 1999 by End All Life Productions a black metal & experimental label from France.
This re-release does not include a song from the first CD release ( Born Under the Master’s Spell), and there are three additional songs, including a cover of Bathory (The Rite Of Darkness).
The album’s edgy and distinct music added to the tiny number of numbered copies (100) and made the Black Metal collectors’ album coveted. The highest price the album has been sold is 1525 dollars, in May 2012.
One can rarely find it for sale, and a reasonable price for an NM copy is from 1600 to 1800 dollars.
