The story behind Iron Maiden's Twilight zone 7 inch brown vinyl

Iron Maiden Twilight zone 7 inch brown vinyl was Iron Maiden's fourth single and it was the first that Adrian Smith, Iron Maiden's guitarist, featured. It was released on the 2nd of March in 1981 the same time they were recording their second album "Killers" but it was not included in this album. As a matter of fact it was published 1 month later, while they were on a tour in UK.

The single had been published in red ,standard black and clear vinyl with the colored ones being very collectible. However the misspress is as collectable as Soundhouse Tapes EP,as it's been liked a lot. The misspress followed after a change of the pressing plates, from the red to the clear vinyl resulting in, some of them, having a mixture of both and with the brown one to have a blurry effect and being a little spooky just like the lyrics of the song.

The vinyl's cover is painted by Derek Riggs and it represents "Charlotte The Harlot" mourning her lost love while, Eddie is trying to reach her out.
